The library has nine (9) multimedia lab computers on the main floor of the library. These computers have software specific to digital content creation that is not available elsewhere in the library. The lab is open to all MVCC community members. It is open when the library opens, and will close thirty minutes prior to the library closing.
While the lab is open for walk-up use, students may make a reservation to ensure access to the software available on these computers. Reservations can be made no more than 2 weeks in advance. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. A computer may be reserved for a maximum of 2 hours. If you are out of time you must check with the librarian in the lab or at the Information Desk to see if we are able to accommodate an extension. You may be subject to a shortened loan period depending on other reservations. If multimedia lab seats are available, students may use the lab on a first come first serve basis.

Multimedia lab computers are open to faculty, however they are not available for reservation. Faculty and staff requiring guaranteed access to should contact the Center for Teaching and Learning at: x5347
Community Member Use
Multimedia lab computers are open to community members, however they are not available for reservation, and may be asked to give up your computer for student use.
The multimedia lab closes thirty minutes before closing time. You will need to leave the lab by this time.
Multimedia Lab Policies
All Library and College Code of Conduct policies must be observed while using the multimedia lab. You will be asked to leave if you do not comply with library and college wide policies. Some policies you may want to note:
- You may not leave your items unattended in the multimedia lab.
- Please keep noise at an appropriate level.
- The multimedia lab closes thirty 30 minutes before closing time. You will need to leave your room by this time.

Multimedia Lab and Student Data
The computers in the multimedia lab will be re-imaged periodically, which will wipe all nonessential data from our computers. Students should know that saving their data to our multimedia lab computers is not a reliable mode of storage, and the library makes no guarantee that it will be available upon return. Students save their data on multimedia lab computers at their own risk.
