Teaching and Classroom Support for Information Literacy and Research

Our goal is for all students to leave Moraine Valley with the ability to think critically about the information they encounter and use as they pursue a college degree, enter the workforce, and engage with their communities. The Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education describes the interconnected core concepts that students will encounter as they move through their college courses. These concepts may be addressed in the context of your classes, and the Moraine Valley librarians can work with you to develop supports for students as they grapple with these ideas and learn new information literacy skills. This may take the form of collaboration on assignments, setting up consultations with individuals or groups of students, or helping to curate readings and research guides for your course.
